Law Firm Strategic Planning

Situation:

Quaid and Quaid is a family law firm in Dallas with two partners and an associate. They wanted to distinguish themselves in the competitive Dallas market and create a stronger Firm brand versus three separate family law practices. Another goal was to increase the number of collaborative law cases while reducing the amount of litigation.

Solution:

Conduct a strategic planning partner retreat to define the Firm’s brand. The planning process focused on defining what was distinctive about the Firm, what clients they wanted to attract, and what message they wanted to communicate to prospective clients and referral sources.

Results:

The retreat and planning process resulted in a consensus on the strategic direction for Quaid & Quaid, including a Firm-wide vision, mission and values. The Firm’s brand was defined and the web-site content was re-written to clarify how they differed from their competition.

A new ad was developed with the headline, “Divorce doesn’t have to destroy you.” The ad distinguished Quaid and Quaid in the competitive Dallas family law market and reinforced the Firm’s commitment to “helping clients move out of divorce and into the future with integrity.”

and fulfilling.
